The most important dialog in this play comes directly from the gospel of John, Chapter 11. The actors will be able to speak the very words of Jesus, the apostles, Mary, and Martha. In addition, five fictional women from the village of Bethany have roles as friends of the sisters, Mary and Martha, and witnesses of the powerful miracle worked by Jesus Christ; they inject some levity and humor into the play as well. The action of the story builds to the dramatic moment when Lazarus, wrapped in his burial cloths, comes forth out of the tomb alive.
About 10-15 minutes; 4+ males, 7 females.
